On Himitsu no Kenmin Show (秘密の県民SHOW) where they introduce local specialties and other things about the featured area of Japan. There was this portion where they would ask the locals if they know a local specialty just to check if the specialty is really well known.They featured a local Yokohama ramen called Sanmamen, some would answer, "知らない人は居ない" (everyone knows it).

Commonly mistaken for ramen with sanma fish because of its name.

Aside from the adoption of the globally known name as Iron Chef, I believe before it was Ryouri no Tetsujin 料理の鉄人, the public can nominate their own chefs to compete with the Iron Chef.

The 5S Process, or simply "5S", is a structured program to systematically achieve total organization, cleanliness, and standardization in the workplace. A well-organized workplace results in a safer, more efficient, and more productive operation. It boosts the morale of the workers, promoting a sense of pride in their work and ownership of their responsibilities.

"5S" was invented in Japan, and stands for five (5) Japanese words that start with the letter 'S': Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke. An equivalent set of five 'S' words in English have likewise been adopted by many, to preserve the "5S" acronym in English usage. These are: Sort, Set (in place), Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.  Some purists do not agree with these English words - they argue that these words have lost the essence of the original 5 Japanese words.

The list of stores were taken from SmaSTATION (スマステ) shown last October 20th. I have never been to any of the listed stores. For details I recommend checking out the store first because the list below is just a rough list. You will see tabehoudais with nomihoudai and no time limit. Of course expect the usual waiting time because of the very long lines.

The main difference with other tabehoudais is even though there were long lines as shown on TV, people from distant prefectures bother to wait in line for hours.
