Morning of April 3rd the weather was fine and only in the afternoon did the sky became dark. Most of my colleagues began looking outside and I was informed there will be strong winds and heavy rain in the evening. At first I did not took it very seriously because there was no typhoon but only when the company announced employees can go home early (if there was no important work) only then I realized this was something big.

April 1st around 11 pm I was still awake watching TV when the earthquake early warning chime got played. Immediately I conditioned myself to prepare for incoming earthquake. In our area it was magnitude 2 perhaps most people did not notice it while Fukushima seashore got magnitude 5 weak. News reports said there was no abnormality with the Fukushima nuclear plant as reported by the TEPCO.
